Science Nerds Unite in Belize-August 2024

Updated: Dec 6, 2023

Are you ready for the most unique trip we've ever offered? Fun Fact: Home to the red-footed booby and the Great Blue Hole, Belize is a part of the Mesoamerican Reef System, the second largest barrier reef in the world (second to the Great Barrier Reef of Australia). The reef is twice the size of Belize. The country itself is about the size of Massachusetts.

This trip is geared towards the animal lovers, the environmentalists, the adventure-seekers, and the science minded! This week-long trip to Belize will allow students to engage in science at a research center in the jungle, snorkel the second largest barrier reef in the world, river tube through caves, and visit ancient Mayan ruins! We are planning this trip for the first week of August 2024 with our very dear friend and National Geographic Naturalist. Our friend is an expert in travel, the natural world (especially in Central America), and ecotourism. His passion, knowledge, and unique ability to connect with people make him the ideal person to lead a trip! Teach Wanderlust recognizes that this trip is a once in a lifetime opportunity and is committed to getting all interested students on this trip as possible. Look out for more communication about this trip! We will roll out information to previous travelers and to those who have been recommended to us first. If you would like to recommend someone for this trip please FILL OUT THIS FORM.
